listen to your life

Listen to your life. See it for the fathomless mystery that it is. In the boredom and pain of it no less than in the excitement and gladness: touch, taste, smell your way to the holy and hidden heart of it because in the last analysis all moments are key moments, and life itself is grace.” – Frederick Buechner

What a great quote to inspire my creative goals for this year. I’ve really been looking into documenting my days, and this is such a great reminder of what those days should be. At the beginning of the year I chose the word “intentional” to be my focus in 2007. I want to look at each moment, each day in just that way – intentionally. And that doesn’t always mean act intentionally, but rather to be intentional in how I look at what is happening around me. Intentional perspective, focused examination. Touch, taste, smell the way to the hidden heart of my days. And in doing so, I hope to find those priceless nuggets that will mark my journey through these days.
